Our experienced practitioners are dedicated to supporting and assisting our GP Registrars and Graduate Nurses to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary to function as confident, independent practitioners.

GP Recruitment
SAFMP enjoys engaging with a mix of Australian Trained and Overseas trained General Practitioners.
We recruit GP’s through Government Funded agencies such as RWAV and MCCC and we advertise for GP’s through the RACGP eRecruit Website, Murray PHN News and many other channels.
SAFMP is always happy to hear from both Vocationally Registered and Non-Vocationally Registered GP’s looking for work at our Clinics.

Nurse Recruitment
Since 2014 SAFMP has participated in the Northern Rivers Graduate Nurse Program (NRGNP) – Expanded Settings Model.
We currently have a graduate nurse working between our Strathfieldsaye Primary Health site alongside the Rochester and Elmore District Health Service. This collaborative model provides the graduate with an expanded scope of practice and experience.
Throughout the seven years we have been participating in the program, we have had a total of nine graduate nurses. Of these, we have retained six of them on staff at various locations throughout SAFMP. Those looking for a career in Practice Nursing should consider applying for a graduate year position through the NRGNP, or for a non graduate position direct enquiries to the
