  • We are a private billing practice.

General Practitioners at Spring Gully Primary Health operate independently and are free to set their own fees for the services they provide.

All privately billed patients are required to pay the full fee on the day of their consultation. We accept payment for our fees via Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS and Credit Card. We have installed the latest software technology, which allows us to send your claim through to Medicare Online, for eligible patients Medicare will reimburse you within 7 days. They pay your benefit into the bank account you’ve registered with Medicare, if you are unsure of what details you have registered, you will need to log onto your Medicare online account or call/visit your local Centrelink/Medicare Hub and follow the prompts.

New patients will need to ring our reception team to organise an initial consultation.

Fees can vary, based on the length of time taken for each consultation, the complexity and the determination of the individual doctor.
For standard consultations, Patients with a Concession/Health Care Card or aged under 16 years old, may be charged a discounted fee.

Additional information on our consultation fees is available at reception.

    • Surgical and other procedures incur an additional practice fee payment
    • Payment is required in full on the day of consultation

Please notify us if you are unable to keep your appointment a minimum of 12 hours prior, to avoid a $55 cancellation fee.

Fees

CHANGES TO FEES FROM MONDAY 1ST AUGUST 2024

Due to the current landscape and ongoing challenges across the primary health sector, St Anthony Family Medical Practice will be transitioning to private billing at Spring Gully Primary Health. The aim of these changes is to balance the financial impact on our patients while ensuring that our GPs and St Anthony staff can continue to provide the highest quality care to our patients.

The changes will impact all patients, particularly for those whom Medicare billing (i.e. bulk billing) is available. This includes patients with an Age/ Disability Support Pension, and anyone aged under 16 years. In addition, WorkCover/TAC consultations will require full payment on the day, there may be a gap fee as the Workcover rebate is lower than the consultation fee. Workcover/TAC patients will need to claim this directly with their insurer. We will provide a receipt of payment to assist with your claim.
